Several Things That I Learn From Waliyullah
Several things that I learn from Waliyullah are:
1. They are always be grateful in everything Allah has given to them
so the heart is in the state of gratefulness as much as it can. Sometimes it is unconscious, sometimes it is conscious
2. Asking for Allah's forgiveness
They are always asking for forgiveness. For they understand that they are not perfect. So asking forgiveness from Allah the only One who is Perfect is just normal and due, it makes sense and natural for us imperfect beings.
3. Cleanse our hearts
We are imperfect by nature. And we are even more fallen after the first inobedience of Adam from what Allah wants from us. So, with these and the unclean inputs we may get everytime, we must cleanse our hearts and ourselves from these impurities. Allah is Quddus (All Holy) so we must try to make ourselves clean. We ask Him to cleanse us as well.
4. Doing no bad things even badmouthing
We have our own tendencies each for himself some tendencies to do any bad things. Some are prone to violence, some to robbery, etc. So, all we can do is limit all these things as much as we can.
5. Trust Allah and pray for everything trusting Him
We must trust to Allah. We are living in an imperfect world, not the heaven. So, all bad things and hardships do happen. But, we pray and do our best. We must entrust what we see and experience to Allah. There are things that we are already given some means to do something about. But, most of the things are indeed has no given means to us to solve. So, giving it all up to Allah and trying our best without feeling so much reponsibility is the best. Most of the things, they happen and factors make us have close to zero responsibility at least to fix and finish them. If we can just give 1% percent of less to help, it's okay. If we can only pray about it to Allah. It's okay.
Allah, manages everything so entrusting Him everything is no big deal for Him. He will be able to perfected it all in His time. We never see the whole pictures of the world and how people's destinies are entangled to each other to some extend. So. sometimes things need to happen one away at a time and another way at another.
6. Keeping yourself in good company
Surrounding yourself with good company will only make you get positive inputs that help you get closer to Allah. When you are given with pure water everytime, you will only get pure water flows from yourself as well eventually. You will struggle less to purify and cleanse yourself because you already surrounded yourself with them. When you live near a spring, you will get pure water. When you live near polluted land, you will get poulluted water. That's just the way it is.
