Kusala Akusala Karma
There are good and bad karmas in our life. Knowing each of them will make us understand what to do or not to do and how we can become a good karmic being. Being a being with good karmic helps us being wholefully good as we are what we eat (the inputs), we think, we do. All these factors must be cultivated from time to time in order to make them our second nature so that we can be a good karmic being as natural as we breathe.
1. Dana - Generosity Wealth
2. Sila - Morality Birth in noble family and in states of happiness
3. Bhavana - Mental Culture Births in Form & Formless Realm
4. Apacayana - Reverence Noble parentage
5. Veyyavacca - Service A large retinue (attendants)
6. Pattidana - Tranference of merits To give in abundance in future birth
7. Pattanumodana - Rejoicing in others' merits Productive of merit wherever one is born
8. Dhammasavana - Hearing to the Dhamma Wisdom
9. Dhammadesana - Expounding the Dhamma Wisdom
10. Ditthijjukamma - Straightening one's views Strengthens one's confidence
Basically, akusala karma are classified into ten karmas. These are ten immoral acts (dasa akusala). They divide into three categories, as follows.
Three manō saṅkhāra (immoral acts done with the mind):
Abhijjā (covetousness; greed for other’s belongings)
Vyāpāda (ill-will, hatred)
Micchā Diṭṭhi (wrong views)
Four vaci saṅkhāra (immoral acts done with speech):
Musāvāda (Lying)
Pisunāvācā (slandering)
Parusāvācā (harsh speech)
Sampappalāpā (frivolous talk)
Three kāya saṅkhāra (immoral acts done with the body):
Pānātipātā (killing)
Adinnādānā (taking what is not given)
kāmēsu micchācārā (not just sexual misconduct, but also excessive sensory pleasures)
