Going Home to God and Letting Go Same Sex Attraction

There is this video about an ex lesbian girl that confesses her story about her struggle with God and same sex attraction.

Many in comments also share their struggle about the same thing. And how their live have been changed towards a more blessed and fulfilling life for each of them.

What I have to understand it is not only men who struggle about gay feeling and same sex attraction. It is also women who share the same struggle with us.

With this, we understand that same sex attraction is beyond masculinity, femininity, or the lack of each. It's about the desire or perception, to think that we can only be complemented or fulfilled by someone of the same sex. We think that this something lacking inside of us can only be fulfilled by them.

But, turns out every gender has the same struggle and the same capability to understand the struggle and the thought process of men and women. And that this particular someone of the opposite gender can accept us, our past life, our infirmities and strength and fulfill them, complement us as an individual.

I began to understand that men and women or rather masculinity and femininity are not just abstract concepts and something in theory. But, what we really need is someone of opposite gender that can meet our need and complement us thus we also complement them, being that whole half of the puzzle and become someone that we truly want, that we truly miss in our heart and we don't need anyone else to take that person's place in our heart.

So I understand now that no men will ever be able to complement me but only a woman will. So what I really need is a woman. For me and for her to complement each other and become each other's soulmate that is a husband and wife couple for a life-long time.

Although I am a man and she is a woman, we will understand each other, accept each each other, and become the strength to each other.

  Several things that I learn from Waliyullah are:   1. They are always be grateful in everything Allah has given to them so the heart is in the state of gratefulness as much as it can. Sometimes it is unconscious, sometimes it is conscious   2. Asking for Allah's forgiveness They are always asking for forgiveness. For they understand that they are not perfect. So asking forgiveness from Allah the only One who is Perfect is just normal and due, it makes sense and natural for us imperfect beings.    3. Cleanse our hearts We are imperfect by nature. And we are even more fallen after the first inobedience of Adam from what Allah wants from us.
